The event is sponsored by Pearson, Inc. Pizza will be served. The winner of the event will be awarded a tablet computer along with the "Noel Studio Public Speaking Award" certificate.

Faculty members are responsible for informing the student of the nomination and verifying that the speaker is able to present. The Fall 2012 event will take place in the Greenhouse of the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity in the EKU Crabbe Library on Thursday, October 11 beginning at 5 p.m.

Speeches will be judged based on the quality of sources and in-speech citation, word choice and grammar, projection and clarity of voice, body language, quality of visual presentation aids, and integrated use of technology (high or low).
