Integrating Research into the Curriculum
On November 13th, EKU faculty from across the disciplines met in the Noel Studio Conference Room to attend a session on Integrating Research into the Curriculum, led by Dr. Darrin Smith, coordinator of the Office of Undergraduate Research.
Dr. Smith shared his vision on how undergraduate research can be integrated with courses at EKU as well as showed sample undergraduate research projects from across the disciplines. Participants engaged in stimulating discussions, focusing on the development of intensive undergraduate research initiatives as well as how faculty can encourage students to pursue undergraduate research.
This session built momentum for Scholarship Week, to be held during the Spring 2014 semester.
