Noel Studio holds Prezi Workshop

Designing visual presentation aids with Prezi was the topic of a workshop held at the Media Wall of the Greenhouse in the Noel Studio on Tuesday evening.

The workshop, facilitated by Dr. Shawn Apostel, was held to explain not only how to create a Prezi but to discuss when and why Prezi might be more rhetorically effective than more ubiquitous software like PowerPoint.

Participants utilized Prezi tools to experiment with their own designs as well as the Prezi meeting tool to compose a collaborative project.

In addition to design fundamentals, using Prezi as part of assigned group work and presentations was also discussed at the workshop.

“The Noel Studio’s interest in digital and oral composition products makes workshops like these a great fit,” said Noel Studio Director Dr. Rusty Carpenter. “We enjoy working with instructors and students as they apply critical and creative thinking practices into all forms of communication.”

The Noel Studio offers workshops and collaborative sessions that are open to all members of the university community. You can learn more about these events by checking our Happenings calendar.
