Noel Studio Investigates Creative Types

“Is there such a thing as a creative type?” Issue 24.5 of the National Teaching and Learning Forum takes up this question. Looking at a series of meetings and exercises, the article examines what it takes to come up with creative ideas. Personality traits such as ambition and flexibility factor in creativity and creative processes. However, too often these traits limit further creative development. Rather, the article argues that creativity is a combination of skills that can be developed.

The Noel Studio offers faculty and staff workshops focused on creative thinking through the Teaching and Learning Innovation (TLI) series and courses for students through the Minor in Applied Creative Thinking.
