Noel Studio Works with EKU Women's Soccer to Develop Nonverbal Communication, Creative Thinking, and Leadership Skills

On Tuesday, August 16, the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity partnered with the EKU Women’s soccer team to explore nonverbal communication in an interactive environment held in the Greenhouse. Led by Noel Studio staff, members of the women’s soccer team took part in a “statue building” exercise that prompted participants to think creatively and critically about how they would manipulate their human statues. Participants then split into small groups to develop skits that required them to communicate a complex and unique message nonverbally, employing group dynamics, expression, collaboration, critical thinking, creative thinking, and leadership skills.

For more information about collaborative events in the Noel Studio that promote the development of informed critical and creative thinkers who communicate effectively, contact Dr. Russell Carpenter or visit the Collaborate with the Noel Studio page.
