October Consultant of the Month
The Noel Studio recognizes Meghan Robinson as the October Consultant of the Month for the extensive knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm she brings to each consultation and workshop. Meghan holds many roles within the Noel Studio including consultant leader, online consultant, and workshop facilitator.
Meghan is a second-year graduate student from Lexington, Kentucky, working toward completing her Masters in English. Upon graduation, she hopes to find a job that allows her to write and be creative, while at the same time interacting with people. She jokes that her ideal job is naming fingernail polish colors for a company because she finds the process to be creative and interesting; plus she loves painting her nails.
When Meghan’s not in the Noel Studio or in class, she loves to manage her Fantasy Football team, bake, watch UK sports, shop, and try new restaurants in Lexington.
Meghan loves consulting because she believes that asingle consultation has so much potential for both the student and consultant. She loves feeling like she has had a positive impact on a student's success within his or her individual writing process. As a consultant, it is fulfilling to help students feel better about their work and how they communicate. She described the best feeling as when the student breathes a sigh of relief or feels energized about their work after they are done talking.
Megan wants to encourage students to come to the Noel Studio because she thinks consultations are low-stakes, small-scale investment but something that can have a big impact on their long-term success as students.
