Noel Studio holds Prezi Workshop

Designing visual presentation aids with Prezi was the topic of a workshop held at the Media Wall of the Greenhouse in the Noel Studio on Tuesday evening.

The workshop, facilitated by Dr. Shawn Apostel, was held to explain not only how to create a Prezi but to discuss when and why Prezi might be more rhetorically effective than more ubiquitous software like PowerPoint.

Education Students Encouraged to Showcase ePortfolios

Education students in the EDF 203 course were encouraged to share elements of their electronic portfolios (ePortfolios) in the Noel Studio’s Greenhouse on Wednesday. Students had the opportunity to share ideas and questions with Noel Studio staff while displaying their work on the media wall.

Noel Studio to Showcase ePortfolios

The Noel Studio will host the Best-of ePortfolio Showcase on Wednesday, December 7 from 2-4pm in the Greenhouse.

Students will have the opportunity to display their ePortfolios, which integrate written, oral, visual, and electronic communication, to members of the university community.

Public Speaking Showcased at New Competition

Abbie Westerbeck’s speech on self-defense given to CMS 210 class earlier this semester was voted the best speech of the semester on Wednesday evening at the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity.

Westerbeck received the first ever Noel Studio Public Speaking Award. Her nominating instructor is Joe Martin.
