On November 13^th, EKU faculty from across the disciplines met in the Noel Studio Conference Room to attend a session on Integrating Research into the Curriculum, led by Dr. Darrin Smith, coordinator of the Office of Undergraduate Research.

The Noel Studio has been featured in many national publications, most recently A Guide: Planning for Assessing 21st Century Spaces for 21st Century Learners. This guide was assembled and edited by Jeanne Narum, founding principal of PKAL Learning Space Collaboratory and nationally recognized advocate for undergraduate research and sponsored by the Learning Spaces Collaboratory.

In response to the high priority placed on creative thinking and the creative-campus initiative, the Noel Studio and the Minor in Applied Creative Thinking are offering one new CRE course this spring: CRE 305 Creativity and Research.

The Noel Studio’s Leslie Valley, Chris Foley, Meghan Robinson and Hannah Zimmerman joined a network of over 600 curious minds at the annual IdeaFestival held in Louisville on September 24^th – 28^th. IdeaFestival is a gathering of individuals celebrating creativity, innovation and curiosity who are intrigued by how ideas can shape our future.
